Nice to see the Rifter plan being quoted. Wishing you every success with it. I wrote mine purely from the perspective of the fit I fly with which is the slight variation on cookie cutter. Maybe one day we’ll run into each other out in space and duke it out.

I’ll admit my navigation skills are a bit lacking. Its next on my list though. Accel control is a pain

Ive gotten into the habit of not flying something until the correct skills are at V, such as battlecruisers V and i refuse to fly a caldari cruiser until i do caldari cruiser V. I think what got me into this habit is when I decided to do my gunnery support skills to V. It made such a huge difference (from 4 to 5) that it didn’t make sense to fly something with only 4/5 of its bonus.

Shield comps to V aren’t very necessary since their bonus to resists only apply to passive hardeners (rarely used in PvP) or when your active hardeners are turned off (not worth spending the time to get them to level 5 for that). Advanced Weapon upgrades 5 is the key skill for me, training that just makes fitting so my ships more accessible, especially minmatar ships, Vagabond, Broadsword, Cane, Cyclone, Cyna, Sleipnir, Mach, etc.

Eve can be a right bitch sometimes. I had a great fight in my Dual web Harpy VS a Hookbill and a Rifter. I wiped the floor with them and then poppeda non-flashy pod under sentries. Derp. Then I went back and tried to loot in my Hookbill…totally forgetting I still had an aggro timer. FML!

Hope your luck improves and swing by Hevrice if you want some 1v1 frigate action.

I feel your pain man, I’ve been having a string of stupid moments for like 2 weeks. It can definitely kill the motivation to log in and kill. Hopefully things turn around for you in Lowsec – and don’t hesitate to drop by our neck of the woods anytime. Just give a shout in Pub if you want to fleet up, otherwise we’ll kill you!

I was kind of worried about the same thing when i started but its a ball in low sec and since you have an orca alt to hall for you, you have no problems. Plus being a frig pilot your ability to move around isnt restricted that much.

But im biased.
